Born in the Jabaliya refugee camp in 1955, Izzeldin Abuelaish became the first Palestinian doctor to work in an Israeli hospital. In 2009, his life was turned upside down when an Israeli bombing killed three of his daughters and a niece. This tragedy gave rise to a lifelong struggle for peace, justice and reconciliation.
