The real luxury of our island is its nature, so unique for the diversity of the landscapes and the richness of the flora. It is unsurprisingly protected and conserved by a number of measures.
Along the shores, beaches are nested among the rocks or backed by dunes and pine woods. Away from the coast, the island has all the old charm of a pastoral countryside. Even though the island is so small, floating in the middle of the sea, underneath an endless sky, it is possible to walk for an hour or more without coming across a road or a single person.
A network of herbus paths runs along the moorland and leads to mills, chapels, marshes and undergrowth bordered by vast properties. Hamlets with enclosed gardens call for a walk. One day is not enough to enjoy the island of Yeu.
