This year, Michel Benita welcomes saxophonist and flautist Stéphane Guillaume and guitarist Serge Lazarévitch, eminent musicians and seasoned educators (CMDL, Montpellier Conservatoire), who are mainstays of the jazz scene and whom he has worked with on numerous projects and recordings, notably on ‘Dream Flight’ (with Peter Erskine and Nguyên Lê), released on the ACT label.
Incidentally, all three have been members, at different times, of the National Jazz Orchestra. Each will contribute to the performance by playing a few of their own compositions. They will be joined – as has become a tradition – by drummer and percussionist Noé Benita (who can be heard on festival stages with Charlie Winston, Malik Djoudi and La Chica).
