A space for free physical expression

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a space for free dance, with no instructions or steps to follow. We dance barefoot, in silence or whilst moving, alone or with others, to the rhythm of a musical selection designed to take you on a journey. You don’t need to know how to dance: just let your body and the music carry you away.

DJ ïklo
A former club DJ in Grenoble in the 2000s, I have been organising Ecstatic Dance sessions in the South-West since 2022. My musical world blends Afro, world, Latin, organic electro and film scores, crafted as a sonic journey. I’ve been spending my holidays on the Île d’Yeu since I was a few months old. It’s a great joy to be hosting an Ecstatic Dance session there for the first time.

The La Clairière Association
Based on the Île d’Yeu, La Clairière organises workshops and events centred on nature and artistic expression (dance, singing, etc.). Its aim is to encourage the free, collective exploration of the surrounding natural world and one’s own human nature.

7.15 pm: Welcome and opening circle
7.30 pm: Warm-up, body awareness
7.45 pm: Ecstatic Journey
9.15 pm: Closing of the space
