The project was conceived in Montreal, drawing inspiration from the vibrant indie pop scene, while Charnley studied classical music and jazz, as well as literature and writing at Concordia University.

Charnley released his debut album, 'Plumes' (2012), a unique blend of pop and classical music with arrangements ranging from disco-style percussion to full orchestra.

His second album, 'Folk Songs and Future Loves' (2014), combines original compositions with works by Béla Bartók and Luciano Berio, showing how folk, pop and classical can co-exist harmoniously.

In 2019, with the album 'Oh Orwell', Charnley pays tribute to the writer George Orwell, while adopting a more pop sound, mixing percussion and guitars, always accompanied by strings, winds and brass.

His fourth album, Many Moons Away (2024), reflects his personal and artistic experience since moving to France. Tackling themes such as hypocrisy, isolation and depression, this album expresses resilience with a touch of lightness and fantasy, while remaining rooted in his unique musical style.
