At every stage of life, we distance ourselves from our loved ones and our lived experiences to immerse ourselves ever more deeply in a virtual world. We are now hyperconnected, but to whom? Behind these communities we join, who is seeking to capture our attention, and to what end?

Excessive screen time and social media use lead to significant psychological and physical problems, which are all the more damaging given that children and adolescents have not yet fully developed their personalities.
How can we cope with this tidal wave, resist it and avoid sinking into addiction and escapism? Anne-Helia Roure, drawing on her experience as a private practising psychiatrist and her involvement in groups campaigning on these issues, will share her insights with us.
