Claire Cailly is inspired by the changing colours of the landscape. Come and discover her paintings, which speak of flight, movement and energy. Her compositions are powerful in their richness of detail, their range of colour tones and their diversity of motifs.


"I love the rain, the wind, the mist, the sun breaking through the clouds, the shadows through the foliage.
In my work, gesture is essential. I start my paintings with a free, energetic, totally intuitive phase.
Then, quietly and by trial and error, I work on the details in search of a balance of shapes, rhythms and colours. In this way, I combine a nervous style with gentle, calm, controlled interventions.
In my painting, references to figurative art are expressed in the resemblance to the landscape or in symbolic forms such as stars, plants, hearts and bubbles. More than ever, I feel the need for strong, bright, bold colours, as a bulwark against gloom and uniformity."
